Troubleshooting
It is heavy
- Stacking filters or taking high-resolution photos increases the load on your PC.
- 8K photos are very heavy. Use them only if your PC has enough headroom.
- Offscreen 2x and Depth Mask draw extra, so they are heavier.
- Turn off the filters you do not use. Filters that are off add no load.
You can see which filter is heavy with the Debug Monitor.
Upload takes a long time
The first build compiles the shaders, which takes time. The VirtualLens 2 shaders alone can take several minutes. Later builds are shorter, so please wait for the first one to finish.
If it takes far too long, please contact me with your Editor.log (C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Unity\Editor\Editor.log).
An error appears during upload
A shader error appears
If an error such as isVRChatCameraHighResolution appears, your VirtualLens 2 may be too old.
Update VirtualLens 2 to 2.12.3 or later.
An error about VirtualLens 2 appears
- Check that VirtualLens 2 is in
Assets/VirtualLens2. If it is moved, the shaders cannot be loaded. - Check that VirtualLens 2 was set up with the non-destructive setup.
There is more than one prefab
Put only one Nakao Filter prefab on each avatar. Two or more prefabs (for example two languages) cause an error.
The watermark does not appear
The watermark is not shown when no filter (Mist, Cross, Iris, Directional Blur, Color Grading) is on. Turn one of them on.
The world's post-processing can also make the watermark hard to see.
An update does not take effect
Unity may not have reloaded the scripts. Restart Unity, then upload.
